From heartfelt storytelling to expert advice, a growing wave of caregiver-focused podcasts is reshaping how thousands of family caregivers connect, cope and find support. These programs, hosted by current and former caregivers, health care professionals and advocates, offer a lifeline for the 63 million Americans navigating the emotional, physical and logistical challenges of caregiving.
“Caregiver podcasts are cathartic for the person sharing the story and the person hearing it. When a caregiver listens and realizes, I’m not alone, that’s where the magic happens. It’s connection, comfort and trusted support all in one,” says Christopher MacLellan, founder of the Whole Care Network, which includes more than 60 podcasts, many of which focus on caregiving topics.
